Ian Browns work ‘Black is Black’ was a project where with 14 diferent blacks printed on one and the same paper. This paper had to handle offset, laser, etching/intaglio, lithographic stone, silkscreen- oil/water based, and U.V. inkjet. He started with 50 sheets at the Offset, and due to the fact that there is always errors in each printing process, he ended up with 2 finished posters in the end. A kind of reduction through reproduction.
